BASF SE

Fundamentals of operational qualification
BASF SE

BASF SE
Production staff at BASF need to be introduced to the operational qualification system developed by BASF. Know How! AG designed and produced a 30-minute learning programme with a final test to accomplish this. The goals of the learning programme are for employees to:
- Know how in-house qualification works at BASF.
- Understand the benefits they, their production plant and the company derive from it.
- Motivate employees to take part in the corporate qualification programme.
The implementation included a new screen design, which was developed as a BASF standard framework.
Mercedes-AMG

Qualification concept
Mercedes-AMG

Mercedes-AMG
A large number of Mercedes-AMG employees are being trained for the in-house developed software solutions “ROUTE 601” and “Co.nect”. The SAP-based software is being developed flexibly so that the various teams in the sports car and performance brand can work together more quickly and transparently in the future. This will change the work processes and habits of colleagues, which requires more than just training. Know How! AG is supporting the rollout with qualification activities in the form of face-to-face events, extensive communication campaigns and performance support.
The pilot phase with selected employees was successfully completed within six months, during which time an introductory event was held; initial face-to-face training followed by an evaluation allowed the company to make some adjustments. The ideas developed by Know How! were particularly well received by the employees: In line with the needs of the automotive industry, the participants received a “first aid kit” containing a quick start guide on how to use the software, as well as freebies such as note pads, pens and a power bank – all bearing the slogan “Agile. Tailor-made. Together” and the project logo.
The qualification concept consists of the following components:
- Introductory events
- Videos in the form of motivational trailers and video nuggets with application scenarios
- first aid kit with information materials and freebies
- Half-day face-to-face training tailored to the target group
- Team coaching in various divisions
- Process posters to illustrate which target group becomes active when
- QuickInfo
- Evaluation in the form of interviews and questionnaires
- Development of performance support

transmed Transport GmbH

Mobile e-learning for hauliers
transmed Transport GmbH

transmed Transport GmbH
Highly sensitive and vitally important
Know How! AG developed e-learning for transmed Transport GmbH on the correct transportation of medicines
Medicines are important – and sensitive – cargo. Compliance with the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines throughout the entire transport process is therefore essential, even if the delivery is carried out by subcontractors, where a uniform, efficient and time-independent solution for knowledge transfer is essential.
Effective learning: mobile and situational
With the introduction of e-learning for its carriers, transmed Transport GmbH pursued several goals at the same time: the avoidance of transport damage, the assurance of service quality and the verifiability of the training measures. Know How! AG created an individual e-learning solution that effectively imparts the necessary knowledge in a situational and, if required, mobile way.
The web-based training course explains the GDP guidelines in short chapters, which are adapted to the subcontractors’ time constraints, allowing the use of various devices, from PCs to smartphones. Using case studies, the WBT not only lists the basic rules, but also offer scenarios with possible courses of action. After selecting an action, the learner discovers what the consequences of that action are – and remembers what they have learned better in everyday life.
“The positive feedback from drivers has shown us that we are on the right track with the interactive learning method,” says Carmen Reiber from transmed Transport GmbH.

Mobile learning as trade fair preparation
Liebherr IT-Services GmbH

Liebherr IT-Services GmbH
Digital trade fair preparation – how mobile learning can ensure trade fair success
How do you train well over a thousand employees from different product and business areas for the world’s leading trade fair in the construction machinery sector? With a virtual trade fair guide for smartphones and PCs.
The trade fair guide replaces the old preparatory events for all stand employees. The virtual, highly interactive Liebherr trade fair stand provides access to in-depth product knowledge, where trade fair employees can find an overview of all product areas and get a general impression of the trade fair grounds. Short final tests determine the learning progress and allow access to further product areas.
Rules of conduct for a professional trade fair presentation are conveyed in an attractive way using a storytelling approach. Experienced trade fair employees can identify with the role of the trade fair professional Mr. Fox and test and apply their knowledge.
A certificate of completion confirms successful preparation for the trade fair.

Köster GmbH

Köster GmbH
Practical training with and for in-house production
Know How! AG empowers Köster employees to create their own WBTs
During the conception and production of a pilot web-based training course (WBT) for Köster GmbH the roles were reversed: Köster employees independently implemented the individual stages of their first e-learning project under the guidance of experts from Know How! AG, while Know How! AG assumed the “customer role” in the acceptance of the individual project phases. This methodical approach enables the e-learning team at Köster GmbH to create its own WBTs in the future.
The Köster GmbH project team received extensive support throughout the entire project. Coaches from Know How! AG were available to advise on the right authoring tool, to design the Köster screen design and create an individual template for the authoring tool, and to provide training in didactics, conception and WBT production.
The team members from Know How! actively supported the Köster GmbH team during every phase of the project and also took over quality assurance during the acceptance process, enabling us to achieve a mutually satisfying result and high quality, which we aim to maintain.
In order to guarantee sustainable success, the coaches are also available after the successful completion of the project should Köster implement further WBT projects.
“Our expectations were fully met. It was particularly important for us to be actively involved right from the outset and to be able to do as much as possible of everything ourselves. The professional guidance provided by Know How! AG was a great help with their support for us”, said Carsten Busse, Head of IT at Köster GmbH, at the end of the project.
Sabrina Gentz, project manager at Köster GmbH added: “The very congenial cooperation with the Know How! AG project team contributed to an atmosphere in which we enjoyed learning well.”

Dehner GmbH & Co. KG
Fit for multi-channel retail
Know How! AG develops blended learning concept for Dehner GmbH & Co. KG
Know How! AG is developing a blended learning concept consisting of a WBT and a learning consultant training course for the 112 markets of Dehner GmbH as part of the introduction of multi-channel retail.
The WBT is developed on the basis of a case-based approach to provide optimum support for different learning types and individual learning needs. It works on both desktop computers and iPads.
The WBTs address the advantages of online shops, integration into traditional sales pitches and the sales pitch “Buy at Dehner”. Mrs Merry was conceived as a WBT companion. She accompanies the customer through the course and uses illustrations and animated video clips to show practical examples from everyday sales at Dehner,
and an interactive start page was also designed, which acts as a menu for the individual modules and guides the user to the final test.
Quote from Dehner:
“The introduction of digital learning at Dehner enables us to make knowledge available to every employee as quickly as possible.”

They can use questionnaires to provide feedback on education and training, which is incorporated into the evaluation by the management. PBeaKK can also create its own content and keep it up to date using an additional authoring tool.
